Nine tops Media i Awards

The third annual Media i Awards saw the Nine Network garner the most awards with the network’s Adelaide team crowned the 2013 National Sales Team of the Year.

The winners of the young Awards show, which started in 2011 to recognising media sales excellence, were named at a ceremony in Sydney’s Australian National Maritime Museum last night.

Media i’s chief executive Charles Parry-Okeden said: “These awards not only recognise the professionalism and excellence of sales individuals and teams, but the success they achieved for clients in collaboration with media agencies in what has been another challenging year for the industry.”

The awards, sponsored by the Media Federation of Australia, saw more than 1,000 agency professionals vote across the Award’s three categories including the state-based Sales Team of the Year and Sales Person of the Year.

Nine took home a total of five awards with Ooh!media and APN Outdoor the second most awarded media company with four gongs each.
