NewsLifeMedia launches health membership program

News Life Media’s health brand body+soul is diversifying its offering with a 10 week online fitness program that costs $99 to join independently.

Backed by a $1.5m marketing campaign the body+soul revolution taps into the common New Year resolution of better health and fitness with a program that is “realistic”.

Gemma Sutherland (pictured centre), editor of body+soul, said: “body+soul has been delivering our readers practical, relevant and trustworthy advice for over ten years. Making positive change to your life takes commitment and motivation and I’m delighted that we are now offering this program to readers and that the body+soul team of experts will be with them every step of the way.”

“body+soul revolution takes the hard work out of being healthy because it delivers solutions that are easy to implement. From weekly shopping lists to how-to videos, this is a realistic program. You don’t have to hit the gym every day if you don’t want to, and you don’t have to feel guilty about that. This is a program everybody can use and get results from.”

The program kicks off on February 2 and costs $99 to enter or $149 to enter with a friend or partner.

Membership will include a customised fitness program that is tailored to different levels of fitness and also different goals. Meal plans, an online diary, access to experts such as a GP, a psychologist and a naturopath as well as other members.

The brand’s social channels will be turned into pots of motivation for the challenge with body+soul’s  Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram to feature tips, videos and photos of the challenge.

The marketing campaign will run for the duration of the revolution as will editorial support on the body+soul website with the printed liftout to support the challenge during January.

The body+soul revolution is backed by SP Health.
