NewsLifeMedia has appointed Vividwireless CMO Louise Brockbank as the head of online food hub, Taste.com.au.

Brockbank comes to the newly created role after 16 months at Australia’s first 4G broadband start-up where she led a digital strategy transformation and launched a new brand positioning.

Brockbank will be responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the global digital business of Taste.com.au, accountable for the platform’s commercial outcomes, innovation and product delivery, to drive continued audience growth, category leadership and multi-platform solutions.

Nicole Sheffield, MD of NewsLifeMedia said: “I’m delighted to have attracted someone of the calibre of Louise Brockbank to this newly created position. With her strategic background and full spectrum marketing experience, Louise’s innovative thinking will provide a new dimension to the taste.com.au business.

Sheffield also suggested Brockbank would be key in the brand’s “big plans to expand internationally”.

Brockbank’s previous experience includes chief development director for UNICEF; and GM sales and marketing at News Limited where she led the marketing and channel sales within TrueLocal.

She was a key member of the Ninemsn leadership team as director marketing and strategy for seven years.

Brockbank said: “I am delighted to join the team at NewsLifeMedia, the scope of opportunity with taste.com.au is extraordinary.

“Taste is already loved and trusted by millions of Australian consumers. With a brief to innovate across multiple platforms, with a truly agile team, and to drive the growth of a global digital business – the brand is set for success on a completely new scale.”
