Mixed reaction for Miranda Kerr's (almost) nude Reebok ad

Reebok’s latest ad featuring a nude Miranda Kerr is causing quite a stir with the 30-second clip spurring on hundreds of international headlines and blog discussions on whether sex still sells.

In the spot, the former Victoria’s Angel model is seen returning to her home after a workout. She proceeds to strip, losing one piece of clothing per-room until she is left standing in a pair of black undies.

Kerr than jumps in the shower only to realise that, oops, she left her runners on.

The tagline is “so comfortable, you’ll forget you have them on”.

International headlines include the New York Daily News“Miranda Kerr strips nude in Reebok commercial” and the Daily Star’s “Stunning model Miranda Kerr strips NAKED in steamy new advert”.

Locally, Fairfax papers have questioned whether the brand used the international model effectively with one expert telling the paper the brand has ‘underestimated’ the intelligence of young women.

The video was uploaded to Reebok’s YouTube page more than a week ago (February 25) and, despite the international press attention, it has only accrued 214,104 views.

Comments underneath the video are divided with some defending the concept, others labelling it a ploy to “get a man’s sexual attention” while others welcomed the footage of an almost nude Kerr.
