Former David Jones ambassador Miranda Kerr is reportedly moving her skincare line from David Jones to its major competitor Myer.
The Sunday Telegraph reported that less than three months after ending her contract with David Jones somewhat abruptly , she’s now in talks with Myer to stock her skincare range, Kora Organics.
Myer’s CEO Bernie Brookes told The Sunday Telegraph, “Her team have presented the product and the cosmetic team are looking at it, we will probably range it.”
Kora Organics has been sold in David Jones since 2009 when the international model first became the department store’s ambassador. Kerr’s original five-year contract was expected to expire in 2014 but both parties recently agreed not to renew.
The Sunday Telegraph reported that a David Jones representative was shocked by the news.
“David Jones shares a department store exclusive and successful partnership with Kora Organics, and has done so since we globally launched the line in 2009,” the representative told The Sunday Telegraph.
David Jones told B&T that while the brand is always exploring the chance to bring new products to its customers, it does not comment on the status of individual lines.
