Rugby League Club the Melbourne Storm has nabbed the National Football League’s (NFL) UK commercial director, Ben Dunn.

Dunn has moved to Australia to take on the commercial director role with Melbourne storm.

Melbourne Storm chief executive Mark Evans said he is pulling together a “revamped senior management team” of which the commercial directory role “is absolutely key”.

“Ben has great experience and a terrific personality which will ensure he will make a great contribution as we all work together to take Melbourne Storm forward."

Dunn added: “The NRL has always held a strong professional appeal for me and Melbourne Storm is arguably the most successful team of the past decade.  It’s a fantastic combination and an exciting opportunity to be a part of this environment.

“Melbourne Storm has established an incredible culture and heritage in Melbourne and you get a sense of pride from the community that this is their team.  With Storm being a national brand, it’s a very exciting opportunity,”

He spent nine months with the NFL and more than three years as head of sports sponsorship at Telegraph Media Group. Prior o that he was sales manager at Sport Magazine and commercial director at Golf World Magazine.
