Mediacom’s Australian clients are set to benefit from a new branch of Mediacom Sport.

Mediacom Sport, which was set up in 2011 to provide Mediacom’s clients with sponsorship and sports rights strategies, has opened up shop in Singapore. The new Asian office is also serving as the company’s regional headquarters.

A statement from Mediacom Australia to B&T said: “We are very excited about the APAC evolution of Mediacom Sport, given the success it has had to date globally. As a key part of the APAC region, we look forward to supporting this specialist area and, as with any good business operation, we will look to localise it as needed for our clients.”

Mediacom Sport also has offices in the UK, Russia and Germany, with plans to open in the US and Brazil before the end of 2013.

Mediacom Sport Singapore will be led by former Parallel Media Group Asia managing director, Jin Wei Toh.
