M&C Saatchi Group’s The Art of Noise wins a rare double at the 2014 Webby Awards
29 April 2014, SYDNEY – Overnight M&C Saatchi Sydney has won both a People’s Voice Award and a Webby Award for The Art of Noise at the global show widely considered the ‘Oscars of the Internet’.
The site, which won Best Use of Animation or Motion Graphics, in the Website Features and Design category, combined video, interactive animation and sound to humorous effect, describing the ups and downs of a creative’s day.
The project was a collaboration between M&C Saatchi Group, Resolution Design and Noise International.
The campaign won the hearts and minds of people all over the globe who voted it their favourite. In a separate round of voting, the judges agreed with the popular decision, making it one of few entries worldwide to win the double.
In terms of Australian campaigns, The Art of Noise was one of only three to win a Webby Award from the 18 that received Nominations; and the only one to win the double.
It caps off a great year for the project, including wins at Cannes, London International, AWARD, FWA and many others.
