Three Australian agencies – M&C Saatchi-owned Mark, GPY&R Melbourne and McCann Melbourne – have won Gold at the One Show Interactive Awards in New York.
Mark’s celebrated campaign for Google and Lego titled ‘Build with Chrome’, which engaged millions around the world to build their virtual Lego creations via Google’s browser, took home Gold in the website – Services category and Silver for Integrated Branding Campaign – Online.
Patts Melbourne’s ‘Mobile medic’ for Defence Force Recruiting scored Gold in the Mobile – Augmented Reality category and McCann Melbourne’s ‘Dumb Ways To Die’ for Metro Trains took home the top gong in the Online Films and Video – Music Videos category.
Whybin\TBWA Group Melbourne also won Australia's first ever Green Pencil for the Nissan LEAF, ‘A World Without Petrol’ campaign.
Green Pencils are for the most environmentally conscious work of the year. This is only the third time a Green Pencil has ever been awarded and the first time its been given to an Australian agency.
Last week ‘Build with Chrome’ also took out the People’s Voice Award for Best Online Campaign at the Webby’s.
