Former Pacific Brands marketer, Lindsey Evans, is moving back to Australia after less than a year in her London post as president of TBWA\UK Group.
Evans, who announced she was joining the agency in October last year, is “reluctantly” leaving the business for family reasons at the end of the month.
"I’ve had the opportunity to work with some incredibly talented individuals over the past nine months with TBWA and I am proud of what we've achieved together,” Evans said.
“However, at this point in my life I have decided to put my family first. I have come to realise that our hearts and lives belong elsewhere, back in Australia, and so have made the difficult decision to move back to Sydney."
Since Evans’ appointment the agency has won new business including Drinkaware, LIDL and CSL.
Peter Souter, chairman of TBWA\UK, will take on the president duties until a replacement is appointed.
Souter said Evans has done some “amazing work” and credited her with transforming the atmosphere and energy of the London office.
“We’ve been number one in the new business league every week of 2013. We will miss her, and I can’t thank her enough. But family, of course, comes first.”
According to Evans’ linkedin profile she has a young family including a five year old and three-year old twins.
As general marketing manager with Pacific Bonds she lead a portfolio of brands including Bonds.
Evans also formed creative agency Happy Soldiers, known for its dated-pillow campaign for client Tontine, and is credited with boosting the fortunes of The Campaign Palace Sydney when she took over as MD in 2005.
