Jeff Goodby to present at 2014 Siren Awards
The finalists fighting for the title of the best radio ad of 2014 have today been announced ahead of the winner reveal in Melbourne next month.
When the winners are named at Encore in St Kilda on May 9 it will be a celebration of the year’s best radio ad as well as the 10th anniversary of the Siren Awards themselves.
Joan Warner, chief executive of Commercial Radio Australia, said: “This year finalists come from around the country and the ads continue to raise the creative bar.”
Last year’s Gold Siren winner was the highly-awarded Dumb Ways to Die campaign by John Mescall and Pat Baron from McCann Melbourne for Metro Trains. The ad went on to win the prestigious Cannes Radio Grand Prix.
The duo are once again in the running to take home the Gold Siren this year with another Metro Trains campaign.
Jeff Goodby (pictured), co-founder of Goodby Silverstein & Partners and creator of the ‘got milk?’ campaign will speak via video link at this year’s Siren Breakfast.
Goodby will speak about selling ideas in to the client and discuss the radio campaigns he has worked on. His presentation will be followed by a Q&A.

The Siren Awards' overall winner will receive a trip to Cannes to the Cannes Radio Lions and two tickets to attend the festival. The client of the winning ad will also win tickets to Cannes.
