Intiative has tempted The Lonely Planet’s global strategy director Jason Shugg over as strategy director of its Melbourne office.
Shugg is taking over the role from Stephen Fisher, who has moved to the job of client services director in the Melbourne office.
He has held APAC and global roles for the travel guide brand, and started his career in Melbourne working for Sensis and The Age.
In the new role he will report to Initiative Australia chief strategy officer David Fish, who started in June.
Andrew Livingston, Initiative Australia CEO, said: “Jason is a home-grown business leader with extensive experience in marketing strategy, publishing and consumer behavior.
“His local knowledge and global perspective will bring fresh insights to our clients and our work.”
