Ginger Spice signs with Octagon

EXCLUSIVE: Sports and entertainment marketing agency Octagon has signed former Ginger Spice, Geri Halliwell, as a new client.

The Interpublic Group agency will develop and manage and commercial off-screen interests of the pop star, songwriter, author and actress during her time in Australia.

Halliwell will be in Australia for two months from September 21 as a judge on Australia’s Got Talent.

The win for Octagon came about as part of its new strategic partnership with talent agency Morrissey Management.

Rene Wright, athletes and personalities client service director at Octagon, said: “Over recent years, Octagon has found success maximising brand activations with international talent whilst they are in Australia for short visits, working with artists such as Katy Perry and Robbie Williams.

“Geri Halliwell is certainly an artist of the same calibre. With marquee events like the Melbourne Cup Carnival, the AFL and NRL grand finals, and the ARIA Awards all happening around this time, we are looking forward to brokering partnerships that increase exposure and awareness for all involved.”
