Fairfax Media have announced Australian publishing media’s director of news media, Garry Linnell, as a member of Radio 2UE 954’s new breakfast line-up.
The announcement was made on Tuesday by the CEO of Fairfax Media, Greg Hywood, and managing director of Fairfax Radio Network, Adam Lang.
“The first time I heard Garry on 2UE I knew it was only a matter of time before he became a more permanent part of 2UE’s line-up,” Hywood said.
“Garry is a natural and has taken to the world of radio like the proverbial duck takes to the big pond that is our new multi-media world.
“Garry will retain his role as director of news media as well as working the breakfast slot as we decide who will fill his role in the months to come.”
Linnell, accompanied by John Stanley, will kick off their show on 20 January 2014.
