Fairfax Media is set to push ahead with its cost-saving restructuring program in the coming weeks, which is expected to involve changes to senior management.
A report in the Australian Financial Review (AFR) has suggested the media giant is ready to unleash its latest plans to cut costs, with changes in the management structure being mooted.
The AFR has also reported that the imminent restructuring could include an overhaul of the group’s organisational structure.
Announced last year, Fairfax is engaged in a three-year cost-cutting program that includes the axing of 1900 jobs, which accounts for one-fifth of their workforce.
Meanwhile, Fairfax Regional Media has appointed Rodney House to lead its local sales arm.
