Machine Turns Sweat Into Drinking Water
In an effort to raise awareness on behalf of the 780 million that people don’t have access to safe drinking water, Unicef has teamed up with agency Deportivo and youth football tournament, The Gothia Cup, to create a machine that extracts sweat from players’ clothing before filtering and returning it as drinkable water.
Disney Want You To Feel Their Content
Disney labs have been pushing the realms of possibility once again. Based on tactile feedback, Haptic technology explores our sense of touch by applying forces, vibrations, or motions to an audience. In this example, Disney has created a device which blows directed puffs of air onto participants, adding another realistic sensory dimension to gaming and projections.
Scientists On Track to Crack The ‘Exercise Pill’
Researchers in the US have managed to create a drug that mimics the effects of exercise in mice. By enhancing the metabolic states of the mice, researchers were able to administer fat-heavy diets and still see the subjects lose weight and improve cholesterol levels.
