David Jones relaunches Storecard rewards program

David Jones has launched a new reward program for its Storecard members, with cardholders offered either Qantas Frequent Flyer points or David Jones Gift Card points for every dollar spent in store.

This follows the launch of Qantas Frequent Flyer (QFF) points as a reward option on the David Jones Gold and Platinum American Express cards in August 2012.

The DJs Storecard has been in market for 50 years and until now, has offered only soft rewards in the form of exclusive access to shopping nights and fashion parades. It has never before offered benefits with a monetary value.

Also being launched today is a limited edition, by invitation only Heritage Storecard for customers who applied and received a David Jones Storecard before 1996. David Jones CEO and MD Paul Zahra said these customers were the “life blood of our business”.

David Jones CEO and MD Paul Zahra said: “We are delighted for the first time in our Company’s history to be able to offer loyalty rewards across our family of David Jones cards.”

David Jones recently parted ways with model ambassador Miranda Kerr, with model Jessica Gomes (pictured) set to take over as the face of the department store imminently.
