More than two million X Factor fans saw Dami Im crowned the 2013 winner of the competition last night.

The X Factor Grand Final – Winner Announced was watched by 2.431 million people according to OzTam’s preliminary metro ratings.

The X Factor Grand Final, which included performances from Guy Sebastian and US pop star Katy Perry, pulled in 2.25 million viewers.

The turnout has bettered the results of last year’s The X Factor which won over less than two million for the winner announced broadcast.

Last year, the final X Factor episode was watched by 1.921 million people with the second last show watched by 1.881 million.

Last night’s television event also outperformed this year’s The Voice. Nine’s The Voice Winner Announced pulled in 2.3 million viewers and the preceding Grand Final show wooed 2.035 million people.

Seven’s total share of all free-to-air viewers was 42.2% with 35.6% going to the network’s primary channel.

Nine was left with a total 22.7% and 16.8% for its main channel. Nine’s most watched show last night was Nine News (1.143 million) with Big Brother sitting on 856,000.

Ten’s total share was 12.9% with just 7.4% for its primary channel.

Homeland did not feature in the top 20  most watches for Ten. The network’s most watched show was Ten Eyewitness News (581,000), in 18th place it was Ten’s only top 20 program.

The ABC’s total share was 18% with 13.2% for ABC1. SBS took 4.2% with 3.6% for SBSOne.
