The competition on Dancing with the Stars is heating up but there was little contest in the TV ratings where it continues to deliver for Seven.
Dancing with the Stars (DWTS) was Tuesday night’s most watched show with 1.222 million viewers, according to OzTam’s preliminary metro ratings.
The show helped Seven take a total 33.7% share of all free-to-air viewers with 25.2% for the network’s main channel.
Seven News (1.118 million) and Today Tonight (933,000) beat Nine News (1.103 million) and A Current Affair (904,000).
Nine’s The Big Bang Theory brought in 809,000 viewers to Nine with another 672,000 and 577,000 tuning in to two other repeats of the US sitcom.
Nine won a total 23.4% of all FTA viewers with 17.6% of that going to the network’s primary channel.
Ten came third with a total 18.7% but its primary channel (13.1%) just lost out to ABC1’s (13.3%).
It was a stronger night for Ten with NCIS coming third in the 8.30pm slot with 740,000 viewers in 11th place. It placed behind the end of DWTS and the ABC’s Keating (781,000).
SBS sat on a total 5.8% share with 4.6% for SBS ONE.
