DJs model and VH1 presenter to host Seven's Big Adventure

Seven has announced television presenter and model Jason Dundas as the host of its next reality play The Big Adventure.

Dundas has co-hosted Vh1’s Big Morning Buzz Live weekdays in New York, is menswear ambassador for David Jones and has starred on Nine’s Getaway.

The reality series, which goes into production later this year, will see contestants compete in extreme conditions to “win the prize of a lifetime”. It is an original Seven Productions concept, from the makers of Seven’s blockbuster reality series My Kitchen Rules and House Rules.

Dundas said in a statement: “The second I heard about the concept for The Big Adventure I was hooked! This show taps into the heart of what I believe makes us all Australian, our passion for adventure. After hosting 400 episodes of morning tv in New York, I'm really excited for my next big adventure; to return home and front one of Australia’s most exciting new tv shows. And to change someone's life forever!”

Dundas told The Herald Sun it has elements of Survivor, The Amazing Race, Big Brother and The Mole as contestants must cope with a remote location, complete challenges and battle it out to discover a hidden secret.

Dundas also told the paper the program will be set on a remote island in the South Pacific.

TV Tonight reported last year that applications who had previously applied for The Amazing Race had been invited to apply to the program for “Adventure, Competition and Travel”.
