The DDB Group has dominated the Australian shortlist for the Cannes Radio category, taking five of the 17 spots.

The nods for DDB were shared between its Melbourne and Sydney offices with the group taking one more nomination than the ever-present Dumb Ways to Die by McCann Melbourne.

Whybin\TBWA Sydney and The Brand Agency Perth also scored multiple nods – three each.

The total 17 Australian nominations are up on the seven which made it through to the shortlist stage last year.
