Clems gives V Energy a reality check

Clemenger BBDO Sydney has given V Energy Drink a new tagline – ‘The massive hit that improves you a bit’.

The agency is behind a new campaign for the drink that is set onboard a Viking ship and sees a group of Vikings mutiny against their leader in favour of his V drinking doppelganger.

Paul Nagy, executive creative director at Clems Sydney, said: “Other energy drink brands are busy throwing guys out of planes and off buildings to suggest their drinks will somehow make is superhuman.

“With this campaign we are taking a refreshing and unashamedly honest approach. Whist energy drinks can’t turn you into an overnight success or a demi-god, they can give you the energy to make you a little bit better at doing the things you already do.”

Chris Donald, V Energy senior brand manager, added: “Based on clear insights derived from consumer research, the team at Clemenger built a simple, yet creative concept to engage and entertain our broad target market.”
