Over 1.3 million people tuned in to watch 'Australia’s strongest man', Derek Boyer, belly flop into a pool from a 10m high diving board last night on Seven’s new reality show, Celebrity Splash.

The program, hosted by The Morning Show’s Kylie Gillies and Larry Emdur, premiered last night with a contestant cast of reality stars, athletes, models and TV personalities including socialite Brynne Edelsten, runner Tamsin Lewis and comedian Josh Thomas.

But the hotly anticipated show couldn’t beat Nine’s The Voice which it came up against directly from 7:30pm.

The Voice took top spot with 2.02 million viewers, followed by Nine News with 1.36 million and Seven News with 1.35 million, according to OzTam’s preliminary metro rankings. Celebrity Splash came in fourth.

A Current Affair (Nine) and Today Tonight (Seven) also fared well, taking fifth and sixth spots respectively with 1.21 million and 1.17 million.

Nine’s Australian drama House Husbands beat Seven’s US series Revenge, coming in with 1.16 million viewers while Revenge drew 1.03 million.

Seven’s Home and Away also made it into the top ten with 963,000, as did ABC News on 890,000.

Ten News at Five was Ten’s highest rating show of the night coming in 13th with 721,000, while The Biggest Loser just scraped into the top 20 with an audience of 526,000 in 19th place.

Nine won the largest share of audience with 34.4% while Seven took 31.8% and Ten took 12.6%. The ABC took 17.1% while SBS won 4%.
