Maybe the recent heavy media coverage of Schapelle Corby has Australia a little curious as Seven’s Border Security sneaking into the top twenty last night, sitting comfortably in eleventh place.

The behind-the-scenes show of Australia’s immigration, customs and quarantine departments had 776,000 people tuning in to the half hour show starting at 8pm, according to OzTam preliminary ratings.

Out of the five city metro ratings, Melbournians were most interested in what was happening during customs and immigration with 235,000 tuning in from Victoria’s capital city.

Sydney-siders were close behind as 200,000 people sated their curiosity.

ABC managed to nab six positions in the top twenty most watched shows from last night, with drama Janet King coming in at number ten with 824,000 viewers in its 8.30pm timeslot.

Nine also grabbed six of the most watched shows last night, with its construction reality show The Block at 7.35pm scoring number one with 1.297 million viewers.

Seven grabbed five of the top twenty shows last night with its highest ratings show Seven News (1.012 million), Seven News/Today Tonight (1.012 million) and Home and Away (846,000).

In terms of the total combined share for last night’s broadcast, Nine took out top spot with a share of 30.5%, 23.2% going to its primary channel.

Seven came a close second with 27.3% (18.7% going to its primary station) and ABC third with 21.3% (14.5% of that going to its primary channel, ABC1).

Ten came in fourth with 16.2%, with its primary station seeing 10.9%.

SBS came fifth with 4.7% with SBS One grabbing 3.9%.
