Australia has finally broken the first and second place stranglehold the USA and UK have held on The Gunn Report and overtaken the UK to become the world’s second most awarded country.
The second place ranking ends 14 years of first and second place dominance by the USA and UK and is thanks to numerous gongs handed to McCann Melbourne and Clemenger BBDO Melbourne.
The new ranking places the USA in first, followed by Australia, the UK, Brazil and France.
McCann Melbourne’s ‘Dumb Ways to Die’ is the most awarded campaign in the history of The Gunn Report. As a result McCann Melbourne holds first place as the world’s most awarded agency in 2013 with Wieden+Kennedy (Portland, New York).
Clemenger BBDO Melbourne is now the fifth most awarded agency in the world, its highest The Gunn Report ranking ever thanks to the ‘Beer Chase’ ad for Carlton Draught.
The spot came third in the ‘most awarded commercials in the word in 2013 category’.
Clemenger BBDO’s local performance helped the global network maintain its place at the top of the most awarded agency network in the world table, a spot it has held for eight straight years.
