Adam Ferrier to depart Naked

Naked’s remaining founding partner Adam Ferrier has split with the agency, B&T understands.

The charismatic psychologist turned adman , well-known for his appearances on the Gruen series on ABC, founded the agency along with Mike Wilson, who left the agency at the end of July after a scandal around asking for ad space for an interview with PM Kevin Rudd.

Naked is also in talks over a move away from their Foveaux Street offices and moving in with BMF, as its holding company Enero looks to cut costs and move towards more of a group structure.

Ferrier is one Australia’s most highly regarded creatives, turning his skills as a criminal psychologist to advertising and garnering numerous awards in the process.

Last year the Steal Banksy campaign for Art Series Hotels scooped a Gold Lion at Cannes amongst numerous awards, and this year the follow-up ‘Overstay Checkout’ was handed the Warc prize for innovation.

He started his advertising career with Saatchi & Saatchi before founding Naked with Wilson in 2004, making the strategy shop one of the most revered agencies in the country, and the strongest of the Naked group globally.

The Share a Coke campaign the agency worked on was also handed last year’s Best Ad Campaign award by B&T, and this year scooped a creative effectiveness gold at Cannes.

More soon.
