AMI announces new chair

Graham Wright will take over as chair of the Australian Marketing Institute, as his predecessor Lee Tonitto is awarded life membership.

Wright, who has a strong background in government marketing, announced a new operating model for the AMI as he accepted the role.

“The board and management have identified five key strategic pillars for specific attention: member engagement; professional advancement; a strong and persuasive voice for the profession; influential thought leadership and a new governance structure.”

A special general meeting will be held on February 28 next year to discuss the proposed new structure.

“The board has paid tribute to Lee by conferring Life Membership,” Wright added.

“Lee was responsible for leading the development of an overarching strategy to ensure members’ needs are best met and that the Institute would be sustainable into the future.”
