Independent creative agency AJF Partnership has acquired Melbourne-based creative shop Freeform.

The acquisition will see Freeform clients, including gourmet pizza brand Crust and Sydney’s retail area Market City, integrate into AJF’s Melbourne and Sydney offices.

Freeform creative director Richard Overall will join AJF Melbourne as agency content director while managing director John Phillips will take on a consulting role with AJF Partnership.

Andrew Fabbro (pictured), AJF founding partner, said: "We're delighted to welcome Freeform's clients to our fold and also to welcome Richard Overall, who adds valuable experience and expertise to our growing content creation capabilities in both Melbourne and Sydney."

Fabbro told B&T that Freeform was a small agency of less than 10 people, including contractors, and that all full time staff have moved across to join AJF.

Overall has more than 20 years experience in the industry as a creative and commercials director with several years as CD of TBWA/Chiat/Day in New York under his belt.

AJF was launched in 2005 and now has 110 staff across its two offices and counts Officeworks, News Corp, GM Holden, Lion, Australian Grand Prix Corporation and others as clients.
