Macquarie Media’s Perth News Talk station 6PR has confirmed its line-up for 2016 with key presenters set to provide listeners with more of the most trusted news, information and lively discussion for the year ahead.
6PR Breakfast team Steve Mills and Basil Zempilas, Mornings’ Gary Adshead, Afternoons’ Peter Bell, Drive’s Adam Shand, Sports Today’s Karl Langdon & Brad Hardie and Perth Tonight’s Chris Ilsley have all re-signed with Perth’s only commercial News Talk station for 2016.
After a stunning AFL season, 6PR is also delighted to announce its new Saturday morning show Sportsworld, featuring Karl Langdon, Tom Moody and Kim Hagdorn. The station also welcomes well-known Perth broadcaster Darren de Mello to Sunday afternoons.
6PR has enjoyed a strong ratings year in 2015. The most recent GFK radio ratings* show that 6PR Breakfast is performing well and that programs between 9am and 6pm were Perth’s clear choice for news and talk. 6PR was also the market leader with time spent listening at a massive 13 hours 34 minutes per week.
“We are thrilled to have re-signed our key presenters who have all contributed to 6PR’s success this year,” Macquarie Media Perth operations director Martin Boylen said.
“With our Breakfast team now bedded down with listeners, and our new Drive presenter Adam Shand growing his audience, 6PR is set for an outstanding 2016 as we deliver the best news, information and sport to our Perth audience,”
