Nine’s 60 Minutes crowned Sunday night’s programs last night but the result did not win Nine the largest share of viewers.

That honour went to Seven, though there was just 0.3% difference between the networks’ primary channel shares.

Nine won 7.30pm with 60 Minutes (1.165 million) out performing Wild Planet: North America (881,000) on Seven. 60 Minutes also outpaced Ten’s Modern Family, with two episodes pulling in 756,000 people and another 754,000 for the network.

Seven took home the 6.30pm slot with Sunday Night pulling in 1.124 million people to beat David Attenborough’s Secrets of Wild India (1.069 million) on Nine and the tail end of Ten’s David Attenborough instalment as well as Have you Been Paying Attention?.

Ten’s Elementary came second in the 8.30pm slot with 663,000 viewers behind Seven’s Bones (682,000).

It did beat Nine’s Sherlock Holmes 2: A Game of Shadows (520,000).

Seven won the night with a 30.2% share of all free to air viewers with 21.6% for its main channel.

Nine was hot on Seven’s heels with a total 29.5% and 21.3% for its primary channel.

Ten came third with a total 18.2% and 12.1% for its main channel ahead of ABC’s 14.6% and the 10.3% which went to ABC1.

SBS, which had a top 20 program with Pompeii: Cellar of Skeletons (391,000), had an inflated total share of 7.5% with 6.6% for SBS One.
