Strategic film communications firm 50 Kaliber, has won gold for Australia and New Zealand at the Holmes Report’s Asia-Pacific Sabre Awards. 50 Kaliber was also awarded the Silver Sabre in the Viral Video category.
Recognised for its work with e.motion21 – a dance and fitness program designed specifically for children and young adults with Down syndrome, 50 Kaliber worked with e.motion21 in a pro-bono capacity, developing a holistic film communications strategy including filmic content as well as negotiating and executing its delivery. The five minute documentary titled ‘Enter from the Wings’ has been seen worldwide.
“There’s no doubt that film as a communications discipline is extremely powerful – people increasingly expect to access information in a more meaningful way; we no longer just want to read – we want to experience,” said Anthony Herman, CEO, 50 Kaliber.
Cate Sayers, CEO and Founder of e.motion21 credits 50 Kaliber’s short film with increasing the profile of the organisation and community understanding of Down syndrome.
