One of Australia’s best-known food and wine experts, Lyndey Milan OAM, has joined 2UE to present a weekly one-hour program called ‘Fresh’.

Milan, who has a 30-year pedigree as a successful cook and presenter, joins Clinton Maynard’s ‘Lunchtime Lowdown’ program each Thursday from 2.00pm to 3.00pm to present Fresh with Lyndey Milan.

The program features the latest news on what’s fresh in food, tips on the best wine, a recipe of the week, the latest foodie destinations and a segment called ‘What’s In Your Fridge?’, where listeners call in list their fridge contents and Milan will instantaneously give them a recipe for what they could cook.

Milan has hosted seven television series in the last four years and Lyndey Milan’s Taste of Australia is currently screening on 7TWO. The book of the same name won Best TV Chef Cookbook in the 2015 Gourmand World Cookbook Awards.

For nearly a decade she was food director of the iconic Australian Women’s Weekly and has published nine books. Milan is also vice president of the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW, chair of the Sydney Royal Wine Show and was founding chair of the Fine Food Committee. She sits on Tourism Australia’s Food and Wine Advisory Committee and is co-founder of Patron of Tasting Success, a mentoring program for female chefs.

“I’m very excited to be returning to 2UE where I made my first foray into the media in the late 1980s. It’s a thrill to be putting my headphones back on and sharing my love of food and wine with Clinton to present Fresh every week on 2UE and I’m looking forward to sharing recipes, tips and all things food with our audience,” Milan said.

Clinton Maynard added, “Lyndey has such a wealth of food and wine experience and is a funny, warm and engaging person who I am sure our audience will love. Fresh will bring our listeners some great insights into food and wine, with an ‘on the spot’ recipe from a listener’s fridge contents every week.”
