VML social media buff Tip Gloria has left the agency to take on a client-side role.

Gloria, who was with VML since February 2012, has joined BT Financial Services as senior social manager, starting today.

Prior to VML, she worked at GPY&R for three years on social media strategy and management.

Gloria (pictured) told B&T: “I’m pleased to be working for BT Financial Services because of their customer-centric and sustainability focus.

“What I’m looking forward to is working with the marketing team, and the brand and product manager teams, to create and implement social strategies for the different brands that directly relate to the overall business objectives, whilst resonating with consumers.

“The opportunity is massive and the hunger from the business to create truly social brands is what attracted me to the role, and the chance to work with Mark Kessler and the rest of the digital marketing team.”

Mark Kessler, head of digital sales and marketing at BT Financial Services, added: “I am – as is the entire team – extremely excited about Tip joining us. Tip comes to us with a wealth of experience and I firmly believe she will add tremendous value, expertise and insight, especially in the areas of social media and customer engagement.”
