Unashamed Macca’s loving

Could McDonald’s’ Canadian marketing lead be the world’s biggest Macca’s advocate? Or just the world’s most corporate man?

Joel Yashinsky proudly announced how he lives, breathes – and eats, almost every day – his beloved brand’s savoury, sweet, hot and cold meals, snacks and drinks.

“I love McDonald’s, I always have,” he said. “You are looking at someone who truly loves the brand.”

The CMO and SVP of marketing is in town for ADMA Forum. He told the audience his office in Canada has its own McDonald’s restaurant, so he eats there five times a week. And he takes his kids for a McDonald’s once a week.

He had even been to check out the McDonald’s in Darling Harbour, and arrived on stage with a paper McCafe cup to prove it.

“We are known as a Big Mac, Coke and fries brand, but you have to mix it up,” he said, explaining he doesn’t just survive on burgers, fries and fizzy drink – he takes on a Macca’s salad every once in a while too.

Thank goodness for that. Otherwise that would be an unhealthy diet.
