The Guardian plays to audience with Royal baby tab

So in about 60 years a little fella born on the other side of the world could be king of Australia, and every major, and not so major, news outlet in the world has jumped on the bandwagon.

Name suggestions have ranged from James to Charles, and even Prawn and Kong (think about it).

But The Guardian has recognized the new kid could be pretty divisive and tiresome for their serious-minded left-leaning readers. So how do you tackle it, and get the linkbaity, trqaffic-driving headlines at the same time?

They’ve come up with a genius solution, two front pages for the website, with a tab at the top of each screen asking Royalist? or Republican?

So, if you’re a Royalist, you can have it dominated by the tot, and if you’re not, you get a front page devoid of the news, replaced instead by the harsh realities that other things are happening. Simples.
