One of the ten "Modern Day Mad Men", the hottest production house on the planet, a company twice named the most innovative on the planet and a fierce debate on Australia's slow innovation culture are highlights of the inaugural MAD Week Innovation Afternoon. 

Inkeeping with MAD's ethos to bring you fresh thinking and a global perspective we have lined up some great speakers for they event on Monday, July 15 at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney.

Leading the afternoon is Faris Yakob, formerly Naked’s digital ninja and most recently chief innovation officer at MDC Partners working in New York.

A multi-award winning strategist and planner his blog ‘Talent Imitates, Genius Steals’ has been named one of the top ten to follow by Mashable and He has also been called one of the ten modern day Mad Men by Fast Company, while also being named one of the most creative people on the planet at the CLIO Awards.

Multi-award winning Australian production company Finch will be sharing some of the secrets to their recent enviable success.

Not only satisfied with making ads, and supplying the director for the next Expendables film, Finch has made a name for itself creating some of the most innovative technologies used in marketing in the last few years.

This includes the 37 degree glasses, used in Colenso BBDO’s powerful Pedigree Adoption Drive campaign,  the Lynx Invisible ads, and most recently the Most Powerful Arm Ever Invented campaign, signing petitions for kids with Muscular Dytrophe

Founder Rob Galluzo will be sharing some of his secrets behind the phenomenal creative success of the company, which does not have a single client on retainer, and showcasing some of their latest work.

Brand agency Clear are all about innovation and fresh thinking. With clients globally including Samsung, Pfizer and Nestle, Clear lives on big ideas, with offices in London, New York and Singapore as well as Sydney.

Australian managing director Alan King is hosting an explosive panel discussion on The Culture Wars: Australia’s slow innovation culture versus the rest of the world.

New M&C Saatchi Australia chief Jaimes Leggett, Chief Nudie James Ajaka, and Kevin Ramsdale, CMO of  NAB, are also all confirmed to take part in this thought-provoking interactive event, with more names to be revealed.

How do you create an innovation culture? That’s the question which will be addressed by Derek Laney, director of product marketing APAC for SalesForce.

Twice named the World’s Most Innovative Company by Forbes, SalesForce knows a thing or two about breaking the boundaries. Derek will be sharing tips on transforming your company, and showcasing some global best practice innovative thinking.

Throughout the afternoon there will be an interactive innovation area, where you can get up close and personal with some of these incredible technologies, an opportunity not to be missed.
