News Limited’s automotive website Carsguide has installed Lauren McLaughlin (pictured as interim CEO following the departure of Michael Schreck on Friday.

McLaughlin, who holds a degree from Harvard University, has held a number of high profile roles in Australia, including interim CEO of Lusthaveit!, founder and COO of Getaway Lounge, head of commercial and business development at BBC Worldwide, and strategy manager at Fairfax Media.

Carsguide’s chairman Greg Duncan, stated: “Lauren is exceptionally well qualified for this role with extensive international experience in consulting, acquisitions, analysis, business start-up and development, as well as owning and operating online businesses as COO and CEO."
