Komli kicks off Chinese network

Digital group Komli Media’s Australian Chinese Network is launched today.

Covering news, property, social and search, the network includes the most popular Australian-based Chinese news websites, as well as China-based websites popular with local Chinese communities.

The content categories of the Australian Chinese Network include the Australian Chinese Property Network, covering the leading Chinese language property websites in China and Australia, the Chinese Social and Search Network, covering the leading Chinese social and search sites and portals, and the Chinese News, Business, Finance and Travel Network, covering the most popular sites in China and for Chinese nationals in Australia.

Advertising options with the Australian Chinese Network include brand display, mobile advertising, eDM, social media and search.

Tasneem Ali, international business director at Komli, said: “We have built a specialised team at Komli focused on engaging with Chinese nationals here in Australia and in China. We have a Weibo expert on staff.”

Weibo is China’s most popular social network, with similar features to Facebook.

Ali (pictured) added: “It’s impossible to overstate the importance of Chinese audiences to most advertisers in Australia. China is our biggest trading partner and is fast closing in on the US to become the world’s largest economy. In China, consumers have an enormous appetite for western products. And locally, China comes third, after the UK and New Zealand, as the most popular birthplace for Australian residents born overseas.”
