Collins, who has nine years experience in the retail and FMCG industries having worked with brands including Nike, Pay Pal, Mars Foods and Pepsi, will lead the agency’s Carnival Cruises P&O account.

He will also head the teams working on Deepend’s Merlin Entertainments and The Sydney Royal Easter Show accounts.

Chris Crammond, managing partner Deepend, said: “Tim brings invaluable expertise to the team, having had nearly a decade of hands-on experience in the sector. His passion for digital, leadership skills and proven track record across our core industry focuses made him a great fit. Tim is a key strategic hire and is already creating positive business impact at Deepend.”

Collins was most recently senior account director at Onepartners and has worked at We Are Social and Publicis Mojo.

One of Collins’ first tasks at the agency will be to present at the Online Retailer Conference and E-Commerce Expo on August 20.

“Australian retailers are facing a revolution in how they work, and technology is at the heart of it,” Collins said.

“As forward thinkers, we need to encourage and enable retailers to stop fighting technology; to embrace digital innovation in order to truly flourish in this new environment.”
