Sydney film and design company Collider is behind a short film of quotes from Nelson Mandela that is currently covering billboards in New York’s Times Square each night.

Collider created the three-minute film of animated typography, called The Power of Words, after being invited to do so by the Nelson Mandela Foundation and the Tribeca Film Institute to commemorate the 95th birthday of the former South African president.

The film is screening nightly at 11.57pm until midnight as part of the Midnight Moment: A Digital Gallery event. It will also feature at an event to honour Mandela at the Tribeca Film Festival later this month.

The Power of Words was developed by Nabil Elderkin, Andrew van der Westhuyzen and Gregory Stern with post-production by Collider and Method Studios Australia.
