Facebook Messenger Partners With Spotify To Share Playlists

Facebook Messenger has integrated Spotify into its iOS and Android apps allowing users to share tunes within Messenger itself.

All you have to do is hit the More tab, then Spotify feature and select the songs you want to share. On the receiving end, your friend will get an ‘Open Spotify’ link with will launch the app and the song straightaway.

A Spotify representative told The Verge that this is the first iteration of the feature so”users can expect further enhancements as we continually work to improve the integration and ensure the best user experience possible”.

This isn’t the first integration within Facebook Messenger. Last December, it announced a Transportation feature with Uber. Making it easier to request an Uber ride without having to leave the app or conversation.
