Funeral Home Offers Valentine’s Day Coffins For Cheating Husbands

A spoof ad for a Singapore funeral home has gone viral after it suggested cheating husbands would be a boon for business.

Sadly, the ad has been reported as a fake, but has still given the company behind it, Singapore Casket, a stack of media exposure.

The ad runs with the tag, “Surprise your wife this Valentine’s Day by introducing her to your mistress” and includes all the contact details for the funeral home. Although it’s unclear if it’s the husband or the mistress who gets knifed.

Despite initial reports the ad was real, Singapore Caskets has used its Facebook page to distance itself from the promotion: “Singapore Casket would like to clarify that this message was not sponsored and posted by Singapore Casket This prank message was done by someone who sabotaged our brand. Kindly ignore the message.”

But it’s not the first time the funeral business has used February the 14th to spruik its deathly wares. As this ad that came across B&T’s desk shows, what better way to show your affection than giving that ‘special someone’ a pre-arranged funeral. And who said love is dead? Well, in this case, it is, quite literally.
