Hit ABC advertising programme The Gruen Transfer is returning in August with another spin off series focussing looking at the news of the week through a prism of spin, branding and image control.
Following the success of the election series The Gruen Nation, The Gruen Planet will take a look at those making the news and how they use spin to get their messages cross.
Further details of when the program will air have not been revealed.
The fourth season of The Gruen Transfer once again reunites host Wil Anderson and Y&R Brands boss Russel Howcroft and Leo Burnett head Todd Sampson. They will be supported by a rotating panel of guest including Dan Gregory, Dee Madigan, Jeremy Nicholas, Bridget Taylor, Jane Caro, Rowan Dean and Carolyn Miller.
While last year the show looked for the worst ad of all time, this year they are looking for the worst product of all time.
The Gruen Transfer averaged 1.4 million viewers on ABC1 last year while The Gruen Nation was the ABC’s highest rating show of the year, averaging more than 1.6 million viewers for each of its four outings.
The programme returns on August 3 at 9pm.
