Coke’s ‘Share a Coke’ campaign launched at the end of September. Initially, 150 names were printed on bottles and cans of Coke.
Coca-Cola unleashed the second phase of the campaign following unprecedented consumer response to the original names. Fans were invited to vote for the names of their friends and loved ones on Coke’s Facebook page and were asked to share a story explaining why they would like to share a Coke with that person.
The nomination period finished on November 24. Coke released the final shortlist for the public to vote on in December.
