New chapter for Borders

The Asia Pacific arm of international book chain Borders has handed its entire advertising business to the AJF Partnership.

Incumbent WPP’s HMA Blaze was not a contender in the three-way shoot-out.

Josy Shaw, Borders marketing manager said “retail understanding” won AJF Partnership – an independent full-service shop with offices in Melbourne and Adelaide – the account.

“The AJF team presented an integrated communications solution that really captures the essence of our vision for the Borders brand. We’re excited about rolling out the new work,” Shaw said.

Andrew Fabbro, AJF Partnership director said, the agency’s work on the account would begin immediately.

Other clients of the agency, which opened its doors in 2005, include Landmark and Holden.
