BMF take out B&T Awards Grand Prix

 
BMF took out the top prize at Friday’s B&T Awards, walking away with the Grand Prix as well as Advertising Agency of the Year and NSW Agency of the Year.

Close to a thousand media, marketing and advertising professionals descended on Sydney’s Luna Park to hear who had taken the honours in the biggest night of the year for the Australasian marketing communications industry.

As well as bagging three top gongs, BMF were highly commended in the Interactive Agency of the Year Award, which was won by New Zealand’s Colenso BBDO.

Media Agency of the Year went to Ikon Communications, taking the title for the second year in a row and winning a $50,000 media package from award sponsor TorchMedia. OMD received a highly commended nomination in the category.

Commonwealth Bank was named Marketing Team of the Year, capping off a great night for marketing director Mark Buckman, whose agencies BMF and Ikon topped their categories.

Best Advertisement of the Year was handed to M&C Saatchi for its work for Herringbone, while Best Ad Campaign was awarded to Lowe Rivet for ‘Welcome Snoop’.

The evening also saw the introduction of the five new categories at the awards: Experiential Agency of the Year was won by Play Communications, with One Partners highly commended for their close second. The Design Agency of the Year gong was given to Creative Method, while OMD picked up Employer of the Year. Another new category, Best Digital Campaign was won by Saatchi & Saatchi for it UN Voices work, while Colenso BBDO was highly commended for Air New Zealand. Mass Media was named winner of the inaugural KPMG Digital Export Leader Award, run in association with Digital Media magazine.
