Following a review of its advertising arrangements home appliances brand Sunbeam has re-appointed Brave as its lead agency. David Jackson, CEO of Sunbeam, said: “We needed to assess all the advertising partners we are working with and we decided that Brave had the right experience and skills in Brand and Retail that we required to help us take the Sunbeam brand forward in this new era.”

Macquarie Radio Network (MRN) has agreed a deal with its star presenter Alan Jones that will see him continue his show with the company until 2013. The term sheet about the continuation of the show is with Jones’ production company Belford Productions. Jones returned to the airwaves in September after breaking from the show to have surgery for prostate cancer.

Kinetics has been appointed as the new public relations agency for Seven’s TiVo device. The Photon-owned agency has replaced boutique agency, Mint PR, which looked after the PR surrounding the launch of TiVo in July. TiVo is the personal video recorder (PVR) released by Channel Seven to give viewers the option of recording TV shows over a period of time and then watching them when it suits them.

Coleman Rasic Carrasco (CRC), Lowe and Publicis Mojo have picked up pencils at the One Show Entertainment awards in Los Angeles last night. Lowe’s ‘Welcome Snoop’ campaign for client MTV Networks Australia won a gold pencil, while CRC’s ‘Different Lives’ campaign for MTV Exit won two bronze Pencils. Publicis Mojo also took out a bronze pencil for its ‘Speight’s Great Beer Delivery’ for Lion Nathan. The awards were created by the One Club and recognise creative work in entertainment including TV, film, games and other electronic and online entertainment.

Telstra and outdoor digital operator Prime Digital Media (PDM) have announced a three year exclusive partnership. Telstra's Enterprise & Government Division and PDM will jointly pursue opportunities for out-of –home digital media in the Australian marketplace with their complimentary products and services.

Ninemsn and Austereo have partnered to create a social networking tool on Windows Live Messenger around the top thirty chart songs. It features Heidi, a specially created “Windows Live Agent”, who is a 19 year old blond surfer girl that can be added as a contact on Windows Live Messenger and answer’s people questions about the Hot 30 countdown.

The former marketing manager of The Sound Alliance's music title inthemix.com.au Ruby Grennan is moving to Triple J as marketing manager for Triple J brands; radio, jtv, jmag, online and merchandise, starting in November. Inthemix.com.au is yet to announce a replacement.

Brand response agency MercerBell has appointed copywriter Scott Mortimer and senior account director Saskia Werz. Mortimer joins MercerBell from Wunderman Sydney and will work across all MercerBell clients. Werz has joined the company from Publicis Mojo and has been appointed senior account Director on the MasterCard account which includes Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific.
