MCDONALD’S Australia and Telstra have announced they are in negotiations for the roll-out of the country's largest network of WiFI locations at McDonald's outlets to allow customers to work online or surf the Web while munching on their burger and fries.
WiFi, also know as a wireless local area network, allows devices such as laptop computers or PDAs equipped with wireless cards to connect to the Internet without cables at designated sites using state-of-the-art technology.
McDonald's CEO Guy Russo said many McDonald's customers were business people on the road or high users of mobile data.
"There is a McDonald's restaurant in virtually every community and by making this service available to so many we are taking a leadership position and anticipating the future communication needs our customers."
