Network Ten is set to make its content available on Google-owned internet video site YouTube.
Although there is not yet a final agreement, an announcement of a partnership between the two companies, creating a Ten channel on the site, is believed to be imminent.
The relationship is likely to be similar to other content and revenue sharing deals YouTube has struck with other TV stations and producers across the globe.
In March this year YouTube and the BBC struck a deal to create channels for the UK broadcaster and its commercial international arm BBC Worldwide, with the latter benefiting from Google and YouTube's advertising platforms.
