De Pasquale wins Portside Wharf development Tim Addington
Brisbane-based ad agency De Pasquale has won the account for the city’s Portside Wharf development.
The agency beat off competition from McCann to take the business, which includes retail and residential buildings and a cruise terminal facility.
McCann, which managed the launch phase of Portside Wharf six months ago, continues to work on other projects handled by Multiplex Living which is part of the Multiplex Group.
De Pasquale has been tasked with developing a new strategic positioning, corporate image and both mainstream and interactive ad campaigns for the site.
Cos Luccitti creative director at De Pasquale said the agency was delighted with the win.
“They want to position it as one of Queensland’s premier destinations for both locals and visitors. There will be emphasis on activity in Sydney and Melbourne to attract visitors to Portside Wharf as well as potential investors to it,” he said. “I’m excited about the new campaign and I’m equally excited about the client taking a brave leap of faith.”
Several different agencies had previously worked on the Portside Wharf project and it is understood the owners wanted a more integrated approach to the development’s communications. The first creative from De Pasquale is expected to break in April.
